Job Summary:
The Safety Officer at Toyota Valencia promotes and maintains a safe and healthy working environment by implementing safety standards, conducting inspections, facilitating training, and ensuring compliance with local and national occupational safety regulations. This role also supports emergency response initiatives and serves as a key figure in fostering a culture of safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company safety policies and government-mandated safety regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, incidents, and safety training sessions.
- Prepare reports on safety performance and submit necessary documentation to concerned authorities when required.
- Assist in the planning and execution of safety orientations, fire drills, first aid training, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Promote awareness of safety practices and ensure all employees are properly informed.
- Respond promptly to accidents and emergencies, conduct incident investigations, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with departments to develop safety plans and protocols for various operational needs.
- Work closely with department heads and HR to ensure the integration of safety into day-to-day operations.
- Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries and compliance inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of any field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrates resilience, professionalism, and composure under pressure.
- Certification in Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH), First Aid, and Fire Safety Training is an advantage but not required.
