Job Summary:
The Parts Counterman is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians with the accurate identification, selection, and issuance of automotive parts and accessories. This role ensures that all parts transactions follow Toyota’s standards for efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to follow standard operating procedures to maintain smooth parts operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance:
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories.
- Provide professional advice on parts availability, compatibility, and pricing.
- Service Department Support:
- Supply the Service Department with the required parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Coordinate closely with service technicians to ensure accuracy and timeliness of parts issuance.
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, organize, and store parts according to Toyota standards.
- Monitor stock levels, perform periodic inventory checks, and report discrepancies.
- Sales & Documentation:
- Process parts sales orders and invoices accurately using dealership systems.
- Maintain proper records of transactions for tracking and reporting.
- Customer Care:
- Ensure a positive experience by providing courteous and efficient service.
- Professionally handle customer inquiries and complaints.
