Job Summary:
The Paint Technician at Toyota Valencia is responsible for performing high-quality automotive paint repairs on vehicles. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a professional finish to restore the vehicle’s original appearance. The ideal candidate is an NC I holder in automotive, preferably with experience in automotive paint repairs, and has the technical expertise required to produce a flawless finish that meets Toyota’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess vehicle surfaces and prepare them for painting by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
- Identify areas of the vehicle that require painting or refinishing, including scratches, dents, and other imperfections.
- Mix and match paint colors accurately to ensure consistency with the original paint color.
- Apply paint coats to vehicle surfaces using spray guns or other appropriate equipment.
- Perform touch-ups or full-body paint jobs depending on the extent of the repair.
- Ensure the application of paint is even and smooth, with no drips, runs, or splotches.
- Maintain a clean work environment to prevent dust or other contaminants from affecting the finish.
- Inspect the painted surface to ensure quality, smoothness, and consistency with the rest of the vehicle.
- Correct any imperfections in the paint application to ensure a professional-grade finish.
- Polish and buff the painted surfaces to achieve a high-gloss finish when necessary.
- Perform minor body repairs when necessary before the painting process, such as filling small dents or scratches.
- Maintain all painting equipment in good condition, including spray guns, mixing tools, and safety gear.
- Ensure that all tools and materials are stored properly and kept in working order.

- Provide updates to the service advisor or customer on the status of the repair, as needed.
- Ensure that finished vehicles meet Toyota’s high standards for appearance and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of all pain jobs, including materials used, time taken, and areas repaired.
- Provide feedback on parts or additional services required to improve the overall vehicle finish.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive painting techniques, tools, and technology.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and maintain a high level of craftsmanship.
