Job Summary:
The Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with environmental laws and regulations. This includes monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on environmental practices, managing waste disposal, and implementing sustainable solutions within dealership operations. The PCO plays a key role in supporting Toyota Valencia’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards mandated by the DENR and other regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and submit required environmental reports and documentations (e.g, SMR, CMR, PCO Reports) on time.
- Waste Management:
- Oversee proper handling, segregation, storage, and disposal of solid and hazardous wastes.
- Coordinate with accredited waste transporters and treatment facilities.
- Environmental Monitoring & Audits:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to evaluate the company’s environmental practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Training & Awareness:
- Conduct environmental awareness training for employees to foster a culture of environmental stewardship.
- Promote and monitor the implementation of eco-friendly practices within the dealership.
- Sustainability Initiatives:
- Assist in the development and execution of sustainability programs aligned with Toyota’s environmental goals.
- Support the implementation of environmental management systems and best practices.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of environmental compliance documents.
- Prepare reports required for PCO accreditation and inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Environmental Science or a related course
- Knowledgeable in environmental laws, waste management, and compliance procedures
- PCO certification is an advantage, but it is not required
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
- Proficient in documentation and reporting
