Job Summary:
The Paint Technician is responsible for performing automotive paint preparation and refinishing tasks to restore vehicles to their original appearance and quality standards. This role ensures accurate color matching, proper surface preparation, and high-quality paint application while maintaining compliance with Toyota’s safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automotive Paint Preparation and Application
- Perform surface preparation, including sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming, before painting.
- Apply automotive paint coatings using proper techniques and equipment.
- Ensure accurate color matching and consistent finish based on manufacturers standards.
- Quality Control and Inspection
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as uneven texture, paint runs, or color inconsistencies.
- Conduct finishing tasks, including polishing and buffing, to achieve a high-quality appearance.
- Maintain precision and attention to detail throughout the painting process.
- Workshop Safety and Equipment Maintenance
- Operate paint booths, spray guns, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow workplace safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of painting tools and work areas.
- Team Collaboration and Support
- Coordinate with Body Technicians and Service Advisors to ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in other service department tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Automotive Course
- With basic Automotive Paint repair knowledge/skills
- Male
