Job Summary:
The General Job Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, general repairs, inspections, and basic troubleshooting on vehicles in accordance with Toyota Valencia’s service standards and procedures. This role ensures that assigned service jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely while maintaining quality workmanship and proper care of customer vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Repair and Maintenance
- Perform routine automotive maintenance and general repair work based on approved job orders.
- Conduct services such as oil and filter changes, brake inspection and servicing, fluid checks, battery inspection, and other basic maintenance procedures.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and adjustments as required.
- Vehicle Inspection and Troubleshooting
- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical concerns, abnormal conditions, and maintenance requirements.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to determine the possible cause of identified vehicle concerns.
- Report additional findings and repair recommendations to the Service Advisor or supervisor.
- Service Procedures and Quality Control
- Follow repair orders, technical instructions, standard operating procedures, and established service guidelines.
- Ensure all completed work meets Toyota Valencia’s quality and safety standards.
- Conduct final checks to verify that assigned repairs and maintenance tasks have been properly completed.
- Tools and Equipment Management
- Properly operate automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery appropriate to assigned tasks.
- Maintain and care for tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality and workplace safety.
- Keep the assigned work area clean and organzied.
- Team Coordination and Support
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Job Controllers, and other technicians regarding repair requirements and job progress.
- Work cooperatively with the service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs.
- Participate in technical training and other skills development activities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Automotive Course
- With basic Automotive General Job repair knowledge/skills
- With experience is an advantage
- Male
